Meeting Santa

Getting ready for Christmas and Santa

Lindsey met Santa for the first time this past Saturday. Luckily, she likes facial hair right now so Santa was not too frightening for her! Santa comes to Dahlonega every year when the townsfolk light the town square and have the Christmas parade. The town square is beautiful during Christmas time. The shops and all the trees are draped with white lights.

Visiting Alex

Visiting Alex

We recently visited our good friends Crystal and Josh. They have a son, Alex, that is around 6 months old. This was the first time that Lindsey and Alex were able to play together.

Thanksgiving at Bebe and Poppy's

Thanksgiving at Bebe and Poppy's

We went down to Bebe and Poppy's house the weekend after Thanksgiving. The whole family was there! We hardly ever are able to have all the family together anymore. So, it was nice being able to spend time with everyone together. We went ahead and did some Christmas presents with Lisa, Vince and Sarah and Jen, Mike and will since we will not see them during Christmas. Lisa will be in Connellsville, PA and Jen will be in Colorado Springs, CO for Christmas this year.

Jack's Christmas Tree Farm

Christmas Tree Farm

Bebe and Poppy insisted the whole family go to Jack's Christmas Tree Farm and pick out a tree. So, the Friday after Thanksgiving, we all loaded up and headed to the tree farm. Lindsey was so tired. We ended up going right in the middle of her naptime.

Lindsey working out

Lindsey's cousins Parker and Caitlyn let her borrow their bouncer. Lindsey has sure enjoyed it! I think she is trying to reach her clothes I had just hung up on the chair.

Pumpkin Farm!

Burt's Pumpkin Farm

This is Lindsey's first Halloween. So, we had to go to Burt's Pumpkin Farm to pick out a pumpkin. Lindsey was amazed by all the pumpkins. It was quite chilly that morning, but we all had a good time. Our good friends and Lindsey's Godparents came over to visit and went with us. We then headed over to Amicalola Falls, but Lindsey was so tired by then that she fell asleep.

Lindsey going to church

Lindsey going to church in mommy's baby dress

This dress was mine (Amy's) when I was a little girl. I thought it would be special if she wore it to church.

Lindsey's first rice cereal meal

Lindsey first meal

Lindsey ate rice cereal for the first time on Friday. This was her first taste of solid food. She wasn't too sure about it for the first few seconds and then realized it was something that she loved! She went for it with both hands after that and enjoyed it the whole time!

Lindsey- 5 3/4 months old

Lindsey-5 3/4 months

Here are some pictures of Lindsey sitting up, playing with Pandora (kitty) and taking a bath. She is starting to sit up fairly well if she has something to concentrate on. If she gets too excited, she falls over.

Lindsey loves the kitty, Pandora. Pandora is so starved for petting that she is sometimes willing to get close to Lindsey so she can get petted. Of course, Lindsey loves to grab onto her, which Pandora is not too excited about.

As Lindsey gets older, bath time becomes more fun for her and harder for mom to keep up with. She is such a wiggle worm now!

Trip to South Carolina

Lindsey visiting Nanny and other family

The is the second time that Lindsey has visited her great-grandmother, Nanny. Lindsey is actually named after Nanny (her maiden name is Lindsey). Lindsey had a great time with Nanny and her great-aunt and uncle.

When we asked Nanny if she wanted to come visit us during the Thanksgiving holidays, her response was "Lord, no!". Don't you love how blunt you become as you age?!
